The tabby cat tiger mug was hand thrown and sculpted from stoneware clay. After bisque firing (a slightly less hot firing to harden the clay), Montana artist Kate Bertin painted the kitty with a rust-colored underglaze and painted stripes on his face. 
This Chinese dragon bottle will usher in the Chinese New Year (which began on Jan. 23), the Year of the Dragon. In Chinese mythology, dragons generally symbolize strength, power and good luck! This bottle was thrown in two pieces on a kick wheel by Montana artist Kate Bertin as part of the OTC Challenge, and then sculpted into this unique and beautiful, functional piece of art.
