This Chinese dragon bottle will usher in the Chinese New Year (which began on Jan. 23), the Year of the Dragon. In Chinese mythology, dragons generally symbolize strength, power and good luck! This bottle was thrown in two pieces on a kick wheel by Montana artist Kate Bertin as part of the OTC Challenge, and then sculpted into this unique and beautiful, functional piece of art.

Bearded Man Mug Medieval Bartmann Bellarmine style - $30.00

The Bartmann (bearded man) mug/jug, also known as a Bellarmine jug, has a long and interesting history. First made in Germany in the 16th century, the jugs (which sometimes were used as mugs) were made for 200 years, spreading across Europe and even to colonial America. This particular bearded man is quite a bit newer, having been hand thrown and sculpted by Montana artist Kate Bertin in 2012.

Funny Bunny! This one-of-a-kind white rabbit mug has handles... er, ears... on both sides of his funny bunny face, and huge black eyes to keep watch.

Way back in the 16th century, a Frenchman named Bernard Palissy began creating what he called "rustic ceramics," plates and platters that capture the vibrant life of a pond or lake. Montana artist Kate Bertin spotted one of his platters on a recent visit to the Louvre, and became determined to develop the idea into her own style.
